South East Asian Sawankalok Stoneware Bowl

THAILAND, 14TH-16TH CENTURY A.D. OR LATER

8 3/4 in. (754 grams, 22.2 cm wide).

Bell-shaped in profile with broad rim, nads of concentric rings and leaves to the outer face, tendrils and leaves on a pounced field to the inner face and spiral motif to the tondo. [No Reserve]

From the private collection of a Canadian gentleman living in Essex, UK, formed since the 1920s-circa 1990.
Property of an Essex lady until the late 1990s; thence by descent.
