Seleukid Empire, Demetrios II Nikator AR Tetradrachm. Dated SE 184 (129/8 BC). Tyre mint. Phoenician standard.
Diademed and draped bust to right / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΔΗMΗΤΡΙΟΥ, eagle standing to left on prow, with palm frond over shoulder, to left, [I]EPA above club surmounted by Tyre monogram, to right, AΣY above ΔΠP (date), monogram between legs. SC 2195.2c; HGC 9, 1122; DCA2 170. Near Very Fine. Cleaned.(12.51gr, 29mm, 12h.).
