Russian Orthodox Painted Icon with Silver Oklad
19TH CENTURY A.D.
3 3/8 x 2 3/4 in. (38 grams, 85 x 70 mm).
Depicting nimbate Christ holding a cross in his right hand and a palm branch in his left; the halo with inscription and the oklad with three Russian hall marks to the lower edge.

Acquired from Derby Antiques Fair, in 2002.
