Roman Terracotta Oil Lamp with Mercury
1ST CENTURY A.D.
3 3/4 in. (56 grams, 95 mm).
Discoid in plan with volute-scroll nozzle, incuse concentric rings to the tondo with filler-hole and low-relief standing figure of Mercury with petasos and caduceus; signed 'B.A' on underside.
