Roman Lead Tag with Seal Impressions

A lead seal tag bearing two oval-shaped impressions containing figural motifs: the smaller impression possibly a standing winged figure facing right; the larger impression portraying a standing figure holding an object. [No Reserve]

A bronze bell of quadrilateral form, with a rectangular cross-section at base, tapering to a rounded dome with large integral suspension loop with five facets to the outer face; clanger absent. 160 grams, 83 mm
Acquired before 2000. From the collection of a European gentleman living in the UK.
The Romans used bells in ritual and secular contexts, when they could be suspended from the necks of animals, worn for talismanic protection or as anklets by servants. -

A transparent glass bowl with gently tapering sidewalls and iridescent surfaces; base displaying a geometric motif with cut or engraved shallow dimples at centre surrounded by curved, radiating lines, circular dimples around the perimeter, with possible shallow ovals to the exterior wall. 131 grams, 14.3 cm wide
Fine condition, repaired.
