Roman Imperial, Diocletian and Carinus Terracotta Forger's Casting Mould. 3rd century AD.
Incuse of IMP C C VAL DIOCLETIANVS P F AVG, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust to right / Incuse of CLEMENTIA TEMP, Emperor, on the left, standing to right, holding short sceptre in his left hand and receiving Victory on globe from Jupiter, on the right, standing to left, holding long sceptre in his left hand; Γ(?) between, XXI in exergue. For obverse cf. RIC V.2 323 (obverse of Antoninianus of Diocletian, Antioch); for reverse cf. RIC V 324 (reverse of Antoninianus of Carinus, Cyzicus). Condition as seen.(4.05gr, 27mm, 8h.).
