FootnotesSuch bowls were mainly produced in the Eastern Mediterranean and diffused in Rome since the 2nd century B.C., when the sea was becoming a Mare Nostrum for the Res Publica. They were characterised by a hemispherical body with a round and convex bottom, but especially by concentric circular grooves.

The vessel likely originates from a Syrian or Palestinian workshop, characterised by a neck shape featuring a collar and a yellow glass tint. The vessel's form establishes an upper chronological limit of the mid-3rd century AD, while the relatively high quality of the glass precludes dating it any later than the end of that century. -

Fragments of wall plaster with rendered surface painted with mainly Pompeii red, pale blue, brown and white detailing; some with an impression of timber laths to the reverse. 1.46 kg total, 7.9-16 cm

These small fragments, for analogies with the fragments of Pompeii, seem to belong to the second style of Roman painting, red panels representing highlight and shadow, decorated with vegetal interlaces. A red grenade fillet probably framed some panels. A fragment shows alternate blue and red colours over a cream background, maybe pertinent to a socle.
