Roman Bronze Triton Statuette
CIRCA 2ND CENTURY A.D.
2 1/2 in. (59 grams total, 63 mm including stand).
Bowl mount with recess to the reverse and head curled backwards; the body an anguiped with curved limbs; mounted on a custom-made stand. [No Reserve]

From a collection acquired on the UK art market from various auction houses and collections mostly before 2000.
From an important Cambridgeshire estate; thence by descent.
