Roman Bronze Statuette of a Bull

CIRCA 1ST-2ND CENTURY A.D.

3 in. (324 grams, 77 mm high).

Standing on a rectangular base, erect head and crescentic horns, curled tail with the tip resting on the back.

    The panel has clearly been cut from a larger sheet of silver which was stamped with figures low-relief figures: to the left of Hercules is a frame with fronds at the top and the bent arms of a figure wearing a palla.
