7/8 in. (4.35 grams, 21.37 mm overall, 17.58 mm internal diameter (approximate size British H, USA 3 3/4, Europe 6.18, Japan 6)).
With a D-section band expanding at the shoulders, wide bezel with raised oval plaque bearing a stylised depiction of goddess Fortuna facing right, holding a rudder and cornucopia. [No Reserve]

Acquired early 1990s. Ex private American collection; thence by descent. Private Swiss collection since 1998.
The inset glass bezel is probably archaic Greek or Etruscan and reused in Roman times. The traits of the man point to Archaic Hellenic features, especially the oval eyes and the long hair, and the pointed beard reminiscence of the Achaean heroes. -
