The group comprising: brooches, a seal box lid and zoomorphic mount; including examples with trace remains of gilding, polychrome and millefiori enamelling and other decorative techniques; four accompanied by PAS record ids. [7, No Reserve]

Aesclepius (Latin Esculapius) was the god of the health and protector of doctors. The serpent‐wreathed rod is well detailed, a rendition which finds a direct parallel in a carnelian intaglio in Carnuntum, Austria. -
