Showing some damage to the collar that would have held the spring in place; ditched in the Stour in 1944. [No Reserve]

Retrieved from the wreck in the Stour river by the vendor, adjacent to the Royal Hospital School near Shotley, Suffolk.

The battle resulted in a heavy defeat for the Zulus, who had been full of confidence from their earlier victories against the British at Isandlwana and Hlobane. -
