Renaissance Gold and 'Royal Fleur-de-Lys' Ring
16TH CENTURY AD
3/4" (5.57 grams, 21mm overall, 17.19mm internal diameter (approximate size British N, USA 6 3/4, Europe 14.0, Japan 13)).
A narrow D-section gold hoop with frond detailing to the shoulders, bezel formed as a fleur-de-lys with inset rose-cut sapphires or blue spinels, white enamel detailing to the rim and underside.
Provenance
From an important private London, SW1, jewellery collection collection; acquired in the 1990s. Accompanied by a X-Ray Fluorescence metal analysis certificate.
