Renaissance Enamelled Gold Ring with Gemstone
LATE 16TH-EARLY 17TH CENTURY A.D.
3/4 in. (2.07 grams, 20.99 mm overall, 15.57 mm internal diameter (approximate size British I 1/2, USA 4 1/2, Europe 8.07, Japan 7)).
Plain D-section band with engraved foliage to the shoulders and square-cut quartz gemstone set into a cup bezel with heater shields to two sides; remains of black enamel.

From a Leicestershire, UK, jewellery collection since circa 1983.
