Pre-Columbian Dimpled Terracotta Jar with Handle
CHIMU CULTURE, 12TH-15TH CENTURY A.D.
4 3/4 in. (280 grams, 12 cm).
Broad elongated body with flat base, trumpet-shaped muth and strap handle,; body ornamented with gouged dimples to shoulders, sidewall and underside; old inked collector's number 'M.M- / SM.1'; applied collector's label 'IN/723' and remains of an older label. [No Reserve]
