Pre-Columbian Cloth Made into Dolls in Victorian Times
11TH-19TH CENTURY A.D.
7 1/2 in. (78 grams, 19 cm).
The polychrome woven Pre-Columbian textile fragments sewn into doll form in the Victorian age, when the stylised faces were added and attached to a panel with a loop; the dolls have been woven to reflect the style of ancient Chancay dolls from Peru. [No Reserve]
