16TH-EARLY 17TH CENTURY AD

1" (8.90 grams, 23 mm overall, 20.45 mm internal diameter (approximate size British V, USA 10 3/4, Europe 24.28, Japan 23)).

A D-section hoop with expanding facetted shoulders, octagonal bezel with pelletted border, intaglio lion rampant device.

Provenance

Found Cambridgeshire in 2012; disclaimed under the Treasure Act 1996: 2012 T47, with supporting documentation.
