POST MEDIEVAL INSCRIBED LEAD HORNBOOK
(Lead, 25 grams, 85 mm.).

Circa 17th century AD. A cast lead educational aid, similar to the medieval hornbook, formed as a plate with corner knops and handle; on the face, the alphabet in a mix of upper and lower case forms; on the handle, the initials LB and numerals 29; below the handle a circular feature resembling a clock face. [No Reserve]

Found at Overton, Wiltshire, UK, in 2007.
