CIRCA 17TH-18TH CENTURY AD

3/4" (Gold, 4.46 grams, 17 mm overall (approximate size British F 1/2, USA 3 1/4, Europe 4.3, Japan 4)).

A cast gold finger ring with green and white enamelled rosettes to the outer face; to the inner, in a cursive script the legend 'Not a truer frend aliue' and shield-shaped maker's mark behind.

Provenance

Property of a London Gentleman; acquired before 1985.
