Composed of a slender round-section hoop expanding to chamfered shoulders and an oval bezel, set with a polished green jasper stone bearing a calligraphic Arabic inscription. 3.77 grams, 20.44 mm overall, 15.44 mm internal diameter (approximate size British I, USA 4 1/4, Europe 7.44, Japan 7)

The Eureka brass skirt lifter, fitted with a quick release mechanism, by H. Knight and Co, with the design registered in 1877 and bearing the UK Registration Mark. 36.5 grams, 94 mm
From an old English collection formed before 2000. Acquired on the UK art market.
This item would have been fastened to the hem of a long skirt and linked to the waist; the wearer would use it to discreetly hold her dress hem clear of the ground to keep her dress clean, especially when climbing stairs or entering/leaving a carriage. -
Post Medieval Gold 'Thy vertue is thy honor' Posy Ring

The slender band with a convex outer face and inscription in cursive script to the interior: 'Thy vertue is thy honor' followed by maker's mark 'DA' in a rectangular cartouche. 2.20 grams, 17.11 mm overall, 14.60 mm internal diameter (approximate size British G 1/2, USA 3 1/2, Europe 5.55, Japan 5)
Acquired in the early 1990s. Property of a Berkshire, UK, gentleman.
The maker's mark is possibly a Britannia style mark composed of the first two letters of the surname of one Isaac Davenport, active 1696-1731.
