Phoenician Yellow Jasper Seal with Inscription
8TH-6TH CENTURY BC
3" (99 grams, 74mm including stand).
A carved yellow jasper stamp seal, scaraboid in form with intaglio design to the base of a standing lion-headed goddess with crown, ankh symbol to one shoulder and mace to the other, between two columns and two monkeys, ibex heads below, stars above; below, the Western Semitic text "property of '-s-h", above, winged solar disc and bird with extended wings; accompanied by a museum-quality impression, ceramic replica of the seal and custom-made display stand.
