Persia. Achaemenid Empire, Time of Xerxes I to Darius II AR Siglos. Circa 485-420 BC. Sardes or subsidiary mint. Possibly type IIIb (early), style B. Lydo-Milesian standard.
Persian king or hero, wearing kidaris and kandys, quiver over shoulder, in kneeling-running stance to right, holding transverse spear and bow / Oblong incuse punch. Carradice Type IIIb, Groups A/B (pl. XII). Near Very Fine. Countermarked.(5.54gr, 16mm, 12h.).
