Persian king or hero, wearing kidaris and kandys, quiver over shoulder, in kneeling-running stance to right, holding dagger in right hand, bow in left / Oblong incuse punch. Carradice Type IV, Group B. Near Very Fine. Countermark on reverse.(5.43gr, 15mm, 12h.).

Bust to right, wearing mural crown with frontal crescent, korymbos set on crescent; behind head, 'may he increase' in Pahlawi, before head, 'Khosrau' in Pahlawi; crescent on right shoulder, stars flanking crown, ribbon over each shoulder; all within single border with crescents in margin. Countermark: crowned head to right within circular incuse / Fire altar with ribbons; flanked by two attendants; to left, date, to right, mint in Pahlawi; star and crescent flanking flames. Very Fine. Very well-struck countermark. Very rare.
