Persian king or hero, wearing kidaris and kandys, quiver over shoulder, in kneeling-running stance to right, holding dagger in right hand, bow in left; uncertain countermarks / Oblong incuse punch. The fact that the present coin has the same reverse stellate pattern as the Diobols of Miletos (cf. SNG Kayhan I 462-75 and SNG Copenhagen 953) and some of the silver coins of the satraps of Caria (cf. HN Online 2926), leads us to attribute its origin to one of these two regions. -

Diademed head to right / BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΣΕΛ-ΕΥΚΟΥ, Apollo Delphios, nude but for chlamys draped from his waist, wearing laurel wreath and seated on omphalos to left, testing arrow with his right hand and resting his left on a bow leaning against the omphalos behind him; filleted palm frond to outer left.
