Roman Openwork Whorl Plate Brooch

2nd century AD

A bronze plate brooch in the shape of an eight-armed whorl, each with openwork section; pin lug and catchplate to reverse. 6.4 grams, 33mm (1 1/4"). Fine condition. [No Reserve]

Provenance
The property of a UK collector; acquired in the early 1990s.
