ANGLO-SAXON COINS - OFFA - LONDON / EALDNOTH - 'LORD STEWARTBY COLLECTION' PORTRAIT PENNY
780-792 AD
(1.27 grams.).

Light coinage. Obv: profile diademed and draped bust left breaking the inner pellet circle with +OFFA+ +REX legend with inverted R. Rev: +EAL / dNOd legend in two lines with pellets in angles of initial cross and with fleur-ended beaded line with pellets in angles between for the moneyer Ealdnoth at London mint. Very fine. The only recorded example for these dies.
