BMC type VI. Obv: profile bust left with sceptre and +STIEFNE: legend. Rev: cross fleury with pile and triple annulets in angles and +RODBERT:ON:RIS legend for the moneyer Rodbert at Castle Rising mint. 1.15 grams.
Near as struck; dark tone. Very rare; very few recorded and better than those shown on EMC.
PROVENANCE:
Property of a North London gentleman; this lot has been checked against the Interpol Database of stolen works of art and is accompanied by AIAD certificate number no. 10732-173148.
