Nero AR Tetradrachm of Antioch, Seleucis and Pieria. Dated RY 8 and year 110 of the Caesarean Era (AD 61/2).

NEPΩNOΣ ΚΑΙΣΑΡOΣ [ΣΕΒΑΣΤΟY], laureate bust to right, wearing aegis / Eagle standing to left on thunderbolt, with wings spread; palm branch to left, H over IP (date) to right. RPC I 4182; McAlee 258; Prieur 82. Good Very Fine. Toned.(11.43gr, 25mm, 12h.).

    The Hemhem crown was an ornate triple Atef with corkscrew sheep horns and usually two uraeus. The Egyptian word Hemhem means to shout, cry out, possibly indicating that the Hemhem crown represented a battle horn.
