A cast Bronze Age dirk or dagger with lentoid-section blade, rectangular panel to the shoulder with chiselled text in a Semitic script, probably Aramaic, to one face, from right to left q[?]'hzg (the apostrophe indicating the letter aleph), probably an acronym or an inscription of mystical meaning; opposed flanges to the each face of the lower grip bent over to retain a carved bone insert with ear-shaped terminals, transverse ribbing.

From a private collection; acquired before 1980.
