Nabataea, Aretas IV, with Shaqilat AE 15mm. 9 BC-AD 40.
Petra mint. Undated, but attributed to years AD 26-48. Aretas, in military attire, standing facing, head to left, holding spear and sword; Aramaic ligate letters to top right, palm frond to left / Shaqilat, veiled, standing to left, raising hand; 'Shaqilat' in Aramaic to right, wreath to left. CN 187a; cf. Meshorer, Nabataea 69. Very Fine.(2.75gr, 15mm, 12h.).
