Chinese Style Funerary Vessel

An undated, archaic style funerary vessel with flask-shaped body, pierced lug handles at the shoulders suspending a link chain and beast-head handle, pedestal foot; both faces decorated with a panel displaying figural scenes in raised relief, a dancer at the centre flanked by animals and scrolling tendrils, musicians standing to either side; extensive remains of polychrome pigmentation. 445 grams, 19.5 cm high
