Migration Period Gold Ring with Triple Bezel

5TH CENTURY AD

1" (7.54 grams, 26.90mm overall, 20.56mm internal diameter (approximate size British U, USA 10, Europe 22.52, Japan 21)).

A gold finger formed as three curved serpents on a field with beaded wire borders, the heads conjoined at each end into an openwork panel extending to the tapering hoop.

Provenance

Property of a North London gentleman; previously in a Russian collection formed pre 1970.
