Unpublished in the most references. Very Fine. Exceedingly rare. Apparently unpublished.(0.88gr, 11mm, 12h.).
Provenance
Found White Waltham, Windsor and Maidenhead, UK, on Sunday 1st September 2019.
Accompanied by a copy of the British Museum's Portable Antiquities Scheme (PAS) report no.BERK-3BFF5F.
Footnotes
Georges Depeyrot attributes these coins to Bishop Ragnecapdus because of the presence of an R on the shaft of the cross, but they could just as easily belong to Bishop Ratbertus, as the motif on the reverse side is similar to those he attributes to Merfridus, who is chronologically closer to Ratbertus.
