MEDIEVAL VIRGIN MARY AND CHILD FIGURINE
(Wood, 3.9 kg, 60 cm.).

Circa 16th century AD. A carved walnut figurine depicting the Madonna and Child; the figures shown full-length, the lady standing, robed and crowned, supporting the infant on her left hip; the figurine supplied with a 16th-17th century octagonal plinth.

From a Belgian collection, bought 2003.
