13th-14th century AD. A very large enamelled mount bearing the arms of the Luttrell family: a bend between six martlets; around this a decorative surround of vegetation; on the reverse, a substantial attachment peg.

Found Ramsey, Lincolnshire (36 miles from the Luttrell seat in Irnham).

Possibly of Sir Geoffrey Luttrell 1276-1345. The Luttrell family is associated with the Luttrell Psalter, a 14th century illuminated religious manuscript.
