Medieval Knife with Bronze Pommel and Veiled Figure
CIRCA 1500 A.D.
7 3/4 in. (33.3 grams, 19.7 cm long).
A scale tanged knife with iron blade and single cutting edge, wooden scales, bronze pommel incised with a richly-clothed veiled bust to one face and an enigmatic motif to the other; possibly maker's stamp to one face of blade.
Provenance
Acquired 1960s-1990s.
