With niello-filled legend to the bar: 'AVE MARIA GACIA PLE' and to reverse 'A DOMINV TE CVM *'; central heater-shaped plaque with niello-filled 'W' to one face and 'IHS' monogram to reverse.

Medieval Silver Ring with Centaur

Having a D-section hoop and discoid bezel with an incuse image of a walking centaur holding a sword. 3.26 grams, 22.16 mm overall, 18.07 mm internal diameter (approximate size British P 1/2, USA 7 3/4, Europe 16.86, Japan 16)
Acquired on the UK and EU art market before 2000. From the private collection of a Surrey, UK, gentleman.
A similar ring with a silver sheet, hammered and notched decoration, was found in the Necropolis of Hoca, Vojvodina, and dated 11th-15th century A.D. The necropolis was related to Hungarian settlers. -

Eastern Medieval Bronze Ring with Zoomorphic Design

Slender hoop with expanding shoulders, a discoid bezel with incuse horse-head and the head of a rider behind, crescent above. 5.62 grams, 20.53 mm overall, 15.29 mm internal diameter (approximate size British G 1/2, USA 3 1/2, Europe 5.55, Japan 5)

These banded rings, made of bronze sheet with a flattened ellipsoidal bezel, could be decorated with geometric or animal ornaments executed by shallow carving. The animal repertoire was borrowed from the contemporary Romanesque art.
