Found near Finningham, Suffolk, Essex, UK. Property of an Essex gentleman. This lot is accompanied by an illustrated lot declaration signed by the Head of the Antiquities Department, Dr Raffaele D’Amato.
The crucifix between the antlers shows that this is the stag of St. Hubert or St. Eustace, both of whom witnessed the miraculous apparition of Christ on the Cross between the antlers of a stag.
