MEDIEVAL GOLD RING WITH RUBY
15TH-16TH CENTURY AD
3/4" (4.65 grams, 23 mm overall, 15.37 mm internal diameter (approximate size British I 1/2, USA 4 1/2, Europe 8.16, Japan 8)).

An ornamental gold finger ring with round-section hoop and foliage motifs to the shoulders, traces of niello infill; the bezel ovoid in plan with inset facetted pink stone.

PROVENANCE:
Found Kilby, Leicestershire; reported to PAS under reference LEIC-2722D2; disclaimed under the Treasure Act reference 2012T783; with supporting documentation.
