A D-section gold hoop with shoulders formed as opposed dragon heads supporting an elliptical plaque with large inset sapphire.
PROVENANCE:
From an important English collection; acquired in the 1990s. Accompanied by a positive X-Ray Fluorescence metal analysis certificate.

FOOTNOTES:
The stone was examined in detail by Dr. Bonewitz who observed: 'A large cabochon sapphire of approximately six carats, probably originating in Myanmar (Burma). Impressive for the period. Likely a nobleman's ring.'
