MEDIEVAL GOLD BISHOP'S RING WITH AMETHYST CABOCHON
12TH CENTURY AD
1 1/4" (8.73 grams, 29 mm overall, 20.67 mm internal diameter (approximate size British V 1/2, USA 11, Europe 24.97, Japan 24)).

A large flat-section hoop with ribbed exterior supporting a pyramidal bezel with incised geometric motifs, inset cabochon amethyst to the centre.

PROVENANCE:
From a German private collection; acquired before 1990.
