Medieval Gilt Heraldic Horse Harness Mount with Rivetted Shield
14TH-15TH CENTURY A.D.
1 5/8 in. (17.9 grams, 41 mm).
A bronze horse harness mount of sub-square form, displaying a shield-shaped panel defined with raised knops and remaining traces of gilding, a raised stylised plant to centre with cross-hatched leaves; pierced twice along one edge for attachment.
