CIRCA 14TH-15TH CENTURY A.D.
1 1/8 in. (6.4 grams, 28 mm).
With central 'dove with olive branch' motif, pelletted border and legend '+ S' MATILD' DE HESTMORE' (seal of Matilda of Eastmoor); strap and loop to the reverse.

Acquired on the UK art market in the 1980s.

Footnotes
'Hestmore' is Eastmoor spelt with 'intrusive 'h''. The reference is to a place in Somerset belonging to Glastonbury Abbey.
