Found whilst searching with a metal detector in Mersham, Kent, UK. Property of a Kent gentleman, a specialist medieval collector. Accompanied by a copy of the British Museum's Portable Antiquities Scheme (PAS) report no.KENT-3F4BA2.
According to PAS, the 'IV' could be an uncommon medieval Anglo-French version of 'Je' or even 'en'; 'DIVE' could be 'diev', the French word for God. Thus, the second part of the repeating inscription could be 'in God'.
