CIRCA 14TH-15TH CENTURY A.D.
1 1/8 in. (16.4 grams, 30 mm).
With central 'Virgin and Child' motif, linear border and legend '+ S' IOH'IS. DE. HO+ON MOCHI' (seal of John of Hoxne, monk); tapering shank, bulb and trefoil loop above.

Found Southern England.
Acquired on the UK art market in the 1980s.
From an East Anglian private collection.
