(Bronze, 53 grams, 59 mm.).
Circa 16th century AD. A large cast bronze vesica-shaped seal matrix with the design of an ornate crowned royal armorial with supporters above the inscription in seriffed capitals OFFICIA/LITAT/ARCNNAT/NOT (by authority of the office of the archdeaconry of Nottingham); to the border the inscription SIGILLUM:REGIE:MAIESTIE:AD.CAVSAS: ECCLESIASTIC[A]S (seal of His Majesty the King for church matters); the reverse with deep, pierced rib.

Found by Chris Burstall near Melton, Leicestershire, UK in 2006; recorded with the Portable Antiquities Scheme under reference LEIC-AE7A93.
