Medieval Bronze Bar with Black Letter Inscription
CIRCA 15TH CENTURY A.D.
5 3/4 in. (5.99 grams, 14.7 cm).
Flat-section rectangular strip section with two incised words (one partial), separated by a floral motif, the French word 'amour' (love) repeated twice suggesting that this may have formed part of a love token. [No Reserve]

Found on the Thames foreshore in the 1980s.
