Medieval Brass Cross with The Trinity and Archangels

ETHIOPIAN HIGHLANDS, CIRCA 1450 A.D.

16 1/8 in. (958 grams total, 41 cm including stand).

Lozengiform panel attached to a tapering socket; to each face an incised square panel with three nimbate figures, hatched band above, openwork border of crosses and scrolls; wire reinforcements attached to two large lateral loops; mounted on a custom-made stand. [No Reserve]
