An undated twice life-size terracotta head representing the Bodhisattva, cleanshaven with wavy hair and long moustache, earrings and diadem; the features carefully modelled with aquiline nose and traces of pigment to the lips and pupils; the diadem with palmettes at the temples and central figure on the brow depicting a cross-legged Buddha figure; possibly Peshwari worksmanship; supplied with custom-made display stand.
PROVENANCE:
Acquired on the London art market in the 1960's.
