Massive Fijian Root Club
CIRCA 19TH CENTURY A.D.
45 in. (2.3 kg, 114.5 cm).
A carved hardwood war club with smoothed and waxed surface; the end of the handle with chip-carved grip pattern, sturdy shaft and ribbed head formed from the root-ball of the tree from which it was carved; some iron nails or studs driven into the grip.

Acquired in Wales, UK, in the 1990s.
